Weekly Recap 1/29-2/4

What a great week of basketball! There are a ton of things going on as we come down the stretch of the season, here are just a few !

The Inter Ac has been wild so far ! With only 2-3 games left this is how things look:

  1. Episcopal Academy (5-2)

  2. Penn Charter (4-3)

  3. SCH Academy (4-3)

  4. Malvern Prep (4-4)

  5. Haverford School (3-4)

  6. Germantown Academy (2-6)

Special Congrats to Coach Bernie Rogers !

Coach Rogers has secured his place in Haverford School history after his decisive win over SCHA on Tuesday, officially becoming the winningest coach in the program. This achievement adds to his already impressive record as the wins leader at Archbishop Ryan, where he amassed 212 victories from 2001-2015.

Here is a closer look at the year by year breakdown, the numbers speak for themselves!

Some cool PCL scoring updates:

  • Thomas Sorber and Jalil Bethea are both only 14 points away from becoming the leading scorers at Ryan and Wood respectively. They both have the chance to do that today as Wood travels to Devon Prep and Ryan hosts Conwell Egan!

    • Bethea sits at 1500 points exactly and looks to pass Rahsool Diggins mark of 1513.

    • Sorber has 1279 and looks to pass Izaiah Brockingtons record of 1292.

  • St. Joes Prep junior guard Jaron McKie has a chance to become the 16th player in SJP history to hit 1k points. He currently has 965 points !

As the year winds down I just wanted to mention that all District 1, District 12 and State playoff games will be listed in the PIAA Playoffs page and NOT the Master Schedule page!

The PIAA Playoff page can be found here and also accessed right on the home screen of the site!
